What is smart tint?
Window film that changes state electrically. Instead of a fixed darkness applied permanently, it switches between a private state and an open state on command.
How does ASHLIVA VEIL 01 work?
Each panel is an electrically switchable film applied to the inside face of the glass. With no power applied it is opaque, at 1% light transmittance. Apply 12 volts and it opens to 6% — still a dark tint, but one you can see through.
How many states does it have?
Two: opaque and open. It does not dim progressively through intermediate levels.
How is it controlled?
By the toggle switch included in the kit.
What voltage does it require?
12V DC, the standard vehicle supply.
Does it draw power constantly?
Only in its open state. Opaque is its unpowered resting state.
Will it fit my vehicle?
The panels ship at a fixed 19.68" × 39.37" and are trimmed to fit, so the question is whether your glass can be covered by that panel size — not what badge is on the car. Measure your side and rear glass before ordering, particularly on pickups and long-wheelbase vehicles, and send us your make, model and year if you want a second opinion. It is not for windscreens.
What comes in the kit?
Four film panels, power wiring, a toggle switch and a fuse tap. Everything needed to complete the installation is in the box.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — it is supplied as a self-fit kit. It involves film application and a 12V electrical connection.
Is professional installation recommended?
We recommend it if you have not applied window film before, or are not comfortable working in a vehicle fuse box. Our Installation page covers this in detail.
How long does shipping take?
Rates and delivery estimates for your address are calculated at checkout, and tracking is issued the moment your order leaves us. If you need a firm date before ordering, ask us through Contact and we will confirm it for your destination.
What is the return policy?
Unused, untrimmed panels can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Panels that have been trimmed, cut or applied cannot be returned, because they cannot be resold. Faulty or incomplete orders are replaced or refunded in full, return shipping included. Start a return through Support.
What if a panel arrives faulty?
We replace it or refund you in full within 30 days of delivery, and we cover the return shipping. Send us your order number and a photograph through Support and we will deal with it.
Is it legal?
Tint limits differ by country, state and province, and front side windows are the most commonly restricted. At 1% and 6% light transmittance this film will be darker than the front-side limit in many jurisdictions in either state. We cannot tell you what is permitted where you live — checking your local regulations before fitting is your responsibility, and we make no claim that this product is compliant in your jurisdiction.
